how did this name of the hotel come about
Since Anna Maria Mozart the mother of Nannerl and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, unfortunately struggled with difficult pregnancies she turned to her family docotor for help. He advised to go on a helath retreat to Bad Gastein, as the radon thermal waters were believed to have healing properties, even for complications during pregnancy. Anna Maria Mozart stayed in Gastein twice for the treatment and the effects were convincing-a miracle child named Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on January 27th, 1756.
Because Romana Watzinger, the founder and builder of Villa Mozart, was a great admirer of Mozart, so she chose to name the hotel in his honor.
